I took mine apart, blasted them free of all rust and took them to the platers who duplicated the original finish...cadmium, I think...kind of whitish silver. Look exactly like original. Total cost for 5 wide rings was $95. That was in '91 of course. Have had tires changed several times with no damage to finish. An alternative to paint or powder coat.
