Gap between fender and hood on 46 WDX power-Wagon

Does anyone know what the proper gap between the hood and fenders should be on a 1946 WDX Power-Wagon. Also, how much space should be between the running boards and the cab? I replaced the wooden blocks with rubber mounts and it doesn't look just right. I want to have this just right before the VPW ralley. Thanks Alan Koester Retseoka@aol.com P.S.
