Scott,
i completly left out the part about the 1.5 ton thing. got side tracked and on a rol at the same time, the rating of 1.5 ton should actually be 1.25 ton, this is an off road rating, the truck will haul it and more, but still it is only a w-200 in camo,as for the non power sterring reason was that they put such a large battery tray in them that it took room up and the ps pump is in the way as well as to simplfy matters, manual steering has less to go wrong with it, now for the not running part, if it still has the water proof ignition,it makes it a tad bit harder to check for spark , a regular cap will fit in place of the waterproof unit, the distrib. is the same , just get a reg cap ,plug wires and plugs for that year, the most coomon thing that cause a no start on a dodge is the ballast resister, if it burns out and they do she wont fire, the next thing to look at if that checks out ic thecontol module, make sure it has power to it there are 5-6 wires going to it, ill have to look to get the exact pin location but its in most repair manuals, if it has power there and the module is good, then the next thing would be the pick up coil in the dist. or the reluctor on the dist shaft, the air gap there usually is set at .08 and you will need to use a feeler guage that has brass blades as its tricky because of the magnetic field there, its really a simple set up, a lot of people dont like dodge;s electronic igniion , but a lot of people dont try to understand how it works, it really is a very simple setup. if you get we weill walk ya thru it to get it going, also parts are readily available as they use all stock dodge parts, the only thing differrent would be the blackout wiring for the lights, and that was just added on by the military and is actually seperate from the factory wiring which is the same as a non military w-200, if you do get it i have a few extra military manuals for that series, ill send ya one, well good luck in pursuing this, where are you from/ as like i said i usually have a feww thru the year, take care and have a great day.
R.G.
