You make a good point Gordon. I myself am guilty of using "FF" to describe the venerable Power Wagon. Mostly as a matter of convenience, or laziness from years of having to answer the question of "What knid of Power Wagon?"
I have also received ads for M-37 Power Wagons, and we all have seen the auctions on ebay for 1936, 1942 and IH Power Wagons, and a lot of parts that have the Power Wagon name attached. I find those ads irritating, mostly because they may confuse the person who wants to buy a Power Wagon, or a Power Wagon part, that might end with something they don't want and can't use.
I don't consider myself a purist or elitist when it comes to Power Wagons, or that one Dodge truck is better than another, and neither does Gordon, and it's easy enough to type in Power Wagon instead of FF.
I will take the pledge to honor the Power Wagon.
