Terry,

I do not choose to denigrate other models, as you suggest. No one here chooses to do that. Not at all. I think you misunderstand me.

I own other models. I have a 1948 Power Wagon, an M37, a W300 repowered with a 440 and an NP 5-spd, I have had a 3/4 ton command car, a 1/2 ton carryall, a Power Giant, and I have a 2001 Ram. Each has their advantages and their beautiful features.

And, to Jumper325, I am certainly not saying the 1-ton Power Wagon is the only way to go. Hardly. I would say a 1-ton W-series truck is, from a chassis point of view, more truck than the 1-ton Power Wagon. I own both and have run both extensively over a period of many years, using them as work trucks.

I question language that does not clarify, and likely takes the novice backward in terms of understanding. That is my point, yet somehow we have gotten down an unintended path here. I mean to offend no one, and certainly apologize if I did.

I remember standing outside a truck stop, as my 3/4 ton command car sat on a trailer. A man came up to me and said, "Nice Jeep."

Gordon
