Jims shop is empty now! Going to pull the frame into the shop in the morning and fix a few minor problems with the frame, new bolts, grind off a welded on bracket and remove the front bumper. Then it goes back out side to be sand blasted by Jim! I will save my lungs for later. Once that is done back into the heated shop for painting most likely Sunday. The brackets I made for the bed will allow it to be put on the frame and be shimed later if needed or slid back and forth befor being bolted to the frame. This way it can stay on but be adjusted to the cab for a perfect fit. I have 4 inch angle iron brackets to go on the side & top of the frame and 2 X 3 inch box steel welded to the tops of them that will be welded to the bed frame. Each bracket will be held with 3- 7/16 X 1 1/2 inch grd#5 bolts and lock nuts. I have 8" X 2" X 1/4 inch straps pre drilled to samwish the frame in between the angle iron and strap. I think 12 bolts should hold it on since the rear hitch on the back of the bed will also be bolted to the PW frame. If all goes well I should have a picture Monday. Doing all this with it on my 16 ft trailer so I can move it around and bring it home clean to go back in the shop for the drive train to be put on. Hope the plan works out. Mark H.
