I am in the process of rebuilding a 1953 Desoto 251 CI engine. I noticed that there is a diamond shaped area on the block (drivers side) where a full flow oil filter will bolt on. Problem is I don’t have one. I have two of the bypass cartridge type filter canisters and I can use one of them but I would prefer to locate a bolt on full flow filter housing. Anyone know where I might locate such a filter? I have seen pictures of these filters and they appear to have an aluminum base. The picture of the engine below is not my engine but it sure looks good. This engine does have the exact filter assembly that I am looking for. If anyone can help me out on locating this filter it will be appreciated.
