Hefe is German for yeast
Weizen is German for wheat
Hefeweizen is a yeast clouded (unfiltered) wheat beer. The yeast tends to settle out that's why you roll the bottle around before you open it (get the yeasty beasties back into the beer). Quite tasty with a slice of lemon.
