I made a set of running boards for my VD-21 out of 0.125" checker plate before I found enough pieces of correct running board to put together whole running boards. These are for a truck with a 9-foot box, but they could be cut down easily. Let me know if you're interested, and I will e-mail pictures. The front and rear contours fit the fenders very well.
