I have been looking at Sam winer and Stour Limited in ohio, both have military surplus axles dana 60 are listed with 8 bolt hubs fronts, prob is they are drum brakes, one of the companies has an axle listed that sounds like it is a dana 60 front with discs, but it might be the cad dana hd 44 in drag, wish they would post pictures of the axles so a person could see before ordering, they are cheap even with going to disc, i have a trash can of dana 44 overloads, they cannot take rubber period. The ctm joint makes the short axle the fuseable link, depending on where it breaks. I dont abuse the truck just use it but have had it also.Either way wheels, brakes, emergency cable, spring perches, etc, stand to slow down the conversion and of course the midas problem.
