The thing about Western Washington is anything left out in a field quickly gets covered with blackberries. You drive around and see all these lumps of blackberries out in the fields and who knows what is inside of them. In Clallam Bay I once saw a whole house with only one corner of it sticking out of the blackberries. In dry country you can drive around and admire all the old equipment sitting out back of people's places, but on the wet side of the mountains there's nothing to see but blackberry patches.
