I'm using a clear plastic lawnmower fuel line to replace a very short braided fuel line that seeped fuel while running on a jeep. Neoprene is used alot on lawn mower applications HOWEVER if a fuel pump is used, it is only about 3 lbs. of pressure instead of six on a vehicles manual/electric pump.
A serious word of caution is in order here though. A guy in our area was seriously burned when while working on a fuel leak, a wrench fell and shorted at the solenoid catching the fuel on fire. So consider at least disconnecting the battery or remove it for safetys sake !!!!
