I want to get into trucking and I already have a 98.5 Ram 3500 Cummins 5 speed 4x4, 23' Moritz flatbed gooseneck and 20' Featherlite cattle trailer that have been paid off. I have figured my cost per mile to approx. 65 cents figuring in fuel, tires, oil, brakes, exhaust, insurance, and depreciation.I don't know what added costs there will be for clutches, drivetrain rebuilds, etc. I want to put on at least 20000 mi/year trucking for hire. I don't trade a vehicle every 3 years, I run it until it is worn out. I need advice from those of you who already haul on what is your cost per mile, and how you figured it out. Also, any other tips would be appreciated. Thank you very much
