I bought a similar one from Harbor Freight. It has a different kind of rotating joint and came with a cable winch (like a boat trailer winch) mounted on top. I think it was $89 on sale. I gotta say the 1000 lb rating is optimistic. The ratchet on the winch stripped out when I lifted a 650 lb load. Fortunately I had a good hold on the crank and managed to lower it safely. After that I tossed the winch, welded a loop on the end of the boom and hung a small chain hoist from it.
