Some info on LC conversions out there. Make sure and get a Cummins and not an Onan. Cummins bought design in 1980's.
Go with what Paul said and get an engine out of a UPS van so you have automotive configuration with a Chevy bellhousing.
I don't know about fitment, but I believe someone on the M37 site has one installed. I think they are lighter than a 4BT
