Finished Brakes today 4 in Pedal OK?

I decided to fill and test my brake job I did. After putting the new fluid in and adjusting them I tried the pedal. Ater you take up the play the Pedal goes about 4 inches befor stopping. Is this about right for the Power Wagons travel when pushed? This was on a complete change out of the whole system and a new Dual Master Cylinder too. Thanks, Mark H.
