A good basic introductory book is "DODGE MILITARY VEHICLES, 1940-1945 (Collection No. 1)" compiled by T. Richards, ISBN 0 946489 27 0. Has a great s/n list but not much on gauges. A more detailed, expensive imported book that idenftifies most models is "1940-1945 DODGE VC-1 / WC-64KD" by Emile Becker and Guy Dentzer, available from Portrayal Press. Also has serial numbers and info on gauges.

For wrenching, get a WC 1/2 ton Maintenance Manual and a Parts List from the TM 10 series.
