Hi Ed. I hope your trip home was uneventful after we finally got 15" to 20" of snow this weekend. I have your mailing address and will send extra photos of the '51 when I can dig them out.

That truck originally belonged to AT&T as a service truck and had a utility bed with lots of storage bins and locking doors. This truck then was purchased by Ellingford Brother's Concrete of Evanston, WY, but as far as I can find out, they only stole the utility bed from it and left the truck unused. Next, Duane Carpenter of Evanston bought the truck from Ellingford Bros. and kept it as a spare parts vehicle for his '46 WDX that he used to feed cattle in the winter. I located these trucks and put Steve Wataha onto them and you know the rest of the story. If I ever find the utility bed that was originally on that truck, I will let you know. The '49 that Steve is keeping is my old truck that originally was purchased by Amerada Oil Company and was based out of Casper, WY. I find the history of these old trucks to be very interesting and strive to keep the lineage of them as accurate as possible.
