One 'Long' Trip for One 'Great' Truck

Last weekend I met with a fellow that has a 1952 M135. He purchased the 21/2 ton and drove it from Dawson City, Yukon (next to Alaska) to Winnipeg, Manitoba this last summer, a distance of 4000 miles in 4 days! Quite the trip you say, but he towed a 2 1/2 ton parts truck that was loaded with a 12 foot camper! The only problem he had with the truck was a flat tire. He has a 305 flat head six in it. I've seen the truck with Yukon plates and it looks pretty decent. He had shortened the box and added on a sleeper. If I hadn't seen the truck and plates and didn't know he works in the Yukon I wouldn't have believed it. He may be planning on selling the truck. That's one long ride for one great truck! But just and average day for an average Canuk!

PS I'm heading down to Bismark ND this weekend to pick up my M37 from John Eickhof. The M37 is the one that you see on his Image Event sites. I'm rather excited but I won't fear the 350 mile trip now that I know what a Dodge can do. Larry Small Winnipeg (Home of the 'long distnce hauler')
