Do a Google search - thre are a lot of license plate collectors. I know some restore the plates.
At any rate, I'd be tempted to pratice a bit first ...
I'm tempted to title mine in Texas as I hear that they (Texas DMV) permit using original lates on antiques.
And I picked up a 1953 Texas Farm Truck plate of eBAY for $10 ... (were they just rear plates that year?)
