To give a little back to the Forum, I've been working up a simple search mechanism for the PW Forum Archives that Dave Speed has made available, with his gracious help and access to his system to set it up.
It's working now, although it's not perfect. Go to the link below, which is the archive link, and REFRESH your browser page so you see the search field at the top.
It's not Google, but it does find stuff through all 90 archives.
It's SLOW AS HELL because it has to full-text search every article. For now, there is no index generated or anything like that (which would make it fast), so it takes forever (a minute or two, usually). But it's a lot speedier than clicking on all those articles yourself and looking for stuff.
Give it a try, let me know if you find problems, have suggestions, etc. But don't pound it too hard, since Dave is running it from his home system over a DSL link....
