Organic Disc Brake Pads

I'm just curious I spend a fair amount of time on the highway with my 76 W200 Full Time 4x4. I replaced the front rotors a while back and they have prbly 40,000 miles on them. However I go through front disc pads like crazy, The ones I just took off only made 20,000 miles...

I have one original rotor, and one aftermarket rotor on the truck right now. To check differences. The aftermarket side disc pads were annihilated, they were all the way down and into the rivets. The other side with the original rotor are only about 1/2 way worn out???

Any reason for this. Has anyone ever had this problem before?
