Tammys Jeep Cherokee and my Ram 2500 V10 do not have a garage, they sit outside. (PW, Carryall and Bombardier have heated garage/shop). ha ha ha.
We are firm believers in Mobil 1 Oil. We have block heaters but dont use them much.
Both Vehicles start/crank really good with the Mobil 1. I have been using it for about 20 years. At 30 below, they crank right over. With good cranking speed and engine in good shape, it runs.
Below -30, I would plug in the heaters.
Tam and I are both NYS Licensed Guides. A few Years ago on Christmas night, it was -45.
At midnight we with some other friends took a moonlight hike on snowshoes and headlamps.
It was beautiful, the snow shinned like diamonds. Again,, dressed properly, we were not at all cold, in fact we shed a layer after we started to build heat. Who needs a hot tub when you can hike in the moonlight at -45 ha ha ha
