Not real sure what caused it but the shoes were extremely tight on the drum. I have drove the truck around town for 2 weeks with no problems. Maybe the hiway and trailer put enough extra on it to cause it to smoke. Perhaps I adjusted the shoes too tight in the beginning. Bearings look good. Wheel will spin many times now. Test drove it some tonight driving around the block with the brakes applied trying to put a load on things and heat them up and both wheels seem fine and show equal temperature to the touch. Will hiway test it tomorrow.

I guess maybe there coulda been enough old brake fluid to cause the heat problem and the "tight" shoes were expanded slightly from the heat making them appear like they were too tight?!?!
