Glenn, they have independant suspension.
There's actually a Unimog rolling chassis on Ebay right now. The guy wants around $3000 for everything except body & engine. I was looking thinking it would be cool to mount a Flat Fender body. The running gear in these is fenomenal with air lockers both front & rear.
