Way back when these trucks were new I was told that they were early models and duals were not approved yet. The DOT was toying with the idea and everyone knew they would eventually approve them ,but had not when the early came out. I have seen 1958 Chrysler, Dodge car and trucks, Plymouth, DeSoto and GMC trucks with single lights. They sure look funny though.
