The frame/engine/running gear are '77 W300 with 400
engine, 4 spd, NP203, power steering. Body was rusty mess
from fire dept. Truck had water tank on back and pto driven
pump. Front had hydraulic winch driven by pump on top of
engine. I don't have the pump but do have the winch.
I am hoping to mount the MU2 on the front and the hydraulic one
between the bed and the cab pointing backward.Note that the W300 frame is extra
long (137 1/2" wheelbase).
I am salvaging the body and bed from a very poor
67 WM300 and mounting on W300. WM300 frame was too far
gone, cab bottom was non-existent. I cut cab in half and
welded lower half from one which had a bad top portion.
You get the idea I am sure.
Anyhow, the Z-shaped arm from the steering box to the
drag link has a worn-out spline. Spline on the steering box
seems to be OK. If I have no luck with this, I have a friend
in WVA who owns a junk yard. I will contact him.
Thanks.
