Hi Alan, This is my first time using the net. I thought I would lend some help.

1. Check to make sure you have ignition spark. Even if the firing order is 180 degrees off, the engine may pop, kick back, or other strange things. Since you seem to be getting fuel ok, and if priming the engine doesn't seem to help (engine doesn't try to run), you probably need to focus on spark, then timing.

Check crank and cam timing -- Crank the engine by hand, with # 1 plug lose (you want to hear compression being released) unless you have some one to help. When no more compression heard, check position of the vibration damper, should be TDC. Check piston position with wire to make sure you at TDC. If you are at TDC, then rotate the engine by hand to start the four stroke cycle process, power, exhust, fuel, compression. This requires two revolutions of the crank. The last half (compression stroke) you should feel compression to DTC. If not, well ya know what ya gotta do. But if there is no indication of firing at all, it may be an electrical problem. Try that first. Good luck!!

I've got a 1956 C3 PW. Anyone know where to get the PTO Unit gear shafts?
