If you want to learn to drive a "crash box", go find some Truck Driver who is used to an 18 wheeler. Non syncro tranies are STILL used in just about all Semi's, so any trucker, new or old, should be able to teach you. He/she may even be able to get you shifting Without the clutch, which can be a lot easier than double clutching (When you are used to it). As the fellow who taught me said, it is mostly a matter of timing. And yes, Patience IS required. J.V.L.
