This is probably obvious to many of you, but I'm confused.
I have seen lots of information which says the tranny in
the M37 is synchromesh, but on my '52, I sure have trouble
getting it into gears, especially the high gears. I really
can't downshift at all. Is this because it's not synchronised
or is it because it used to be, but now the synchros
are shot? Now and then someone posts something about
the "crash-box", so then I think maybe it isn't supposed
to be synchronised. If this is just the way it is, does
anybody want to take a try at teaching me how to
double-clutch via email?
