Oh, I get it. you mean like suicide doors, or a crash knob on the steering wheel. Thanks for the language tune up Bill, But I honestly have never heard it called that before. We have a 50's Mack engine in our Fire Dept that has a unsyncornized tranny in it. Stop and go traffic on the steep hills really makes you earn your drivers pay! I guess the Old Timer who was teaching me to drive did'nt want the word "crash" to enter into my thought process. Anyway, I have the original "crash box" for my '46 WDX, and it's in good shape.
