Thanks for responding Dave. I'm not sure if the transmission I have is syncromesh or not. The motor that it was hooked up to when I rescued it was a 251ci spitfire. I will open it up tomorrow and have a look inside and tell you what I find. What kind of shape is your box in (I assume you're talking about a bed as I've never heard the term "crash box" before) and where is it located as I may have to come pick it up.
