I purchased 8.00 x 17.5 bias ply highway tread tires for my '63 D300 at Les Schwab Tires. They are a large discount tire marketing firm in the Pacific Northwest. They could not find a "mud & snow" tread. Tires were about $125 ea including the tax. Soooo, they aren't easy to find, but they do exist. Hope this helps. Gil
