I received this note from Chris:
OK , here's the simulation of the 251.

You may wonder why some engine specifications seem erroneous. This
fifty dollar program has a simple interface on top of the technology
that drives their $1000 program. So, instead of entering the exact CFM
and dimensions of the exhaust system, you choose "stock manifolds and
pipes" from a pull-down menu. The program comes with a book that lets
the user understand how the program is interpreting your input. So, I
chose "HP manifolds and mufflers". This produced the correct results,
and it made sense: relative to the size of the engine, the stock
manifolds on a V-8 (which is primarily what this program is made to
model) are more restrictive than on an old flathead.

It would be nice if the program graphed below 2000rpm. But, that's not
much of a limitation because the torque is pretty flat up through
2500rpm, so it's easy to imagine what's going on at 1600. Also, any
horsepower gains are going to be quite visible on the graph in the 3500
range.

Now that I have successfully modeled the stock motor, I'll start testing
mods.
