Don't just check the feedback people left for him, but check the feedback he left for others. That'll show you how he handles complaints. Go to the link below and type in "bookmarkthispage" (User ID) for an example of an ebay seller who has a real short fuse.
I pretty much agree with Jonas' sentiments. We have captitalism and the free market and all that, but what's wrong with being decent human beings and treating people more than fairly, even if that means giving the grieving widow $1000 for the WDX when she would've let it go for $500? I don't know if there's any life after death, but I know I'm more likely to take good-will and friendships with me than gold and iron.
