All this talk about Belt Pullys, 3 point hitches and such has me thinking....... I have a add from the early 1950's showing the Power Wagon in a number of farm uses... Seeing that now I am involved in the Agricultural business, and I will soon have a '47 WDX, Id love to use the truck for farm use. It would be perfect with a 3 point hitch, and belt pulley-PTO. My problem is this: I am getting this running and driving WDX (no brakes of course) for $1500. The truck even has a front snow plow and a winch in the non-orgional bed. It does have origional Fenders on back tho. Anyhow, I would love to make the perfect farm truck out of it, and use it as a back up tractor. The problem Is, There is no way I will spend $2K-up for a Belt pulley. That may be what the market is going on them, but there is no way I can do it. I do plan to restore the truck someday. I will not be a show quality restoration, because I want to contine to work it. I would like to somehow fab up a PTO-Belt pulley setup on rear as well as a 3 point hitch. I have a farmer friend who bought a 3pt hitch for an Oliver, but he sold the tractor and no longer needs the hitch. I can get it cheap, and would like to fab it up to fit a Power Wagon.

As for PTO and Belt pulley: The Farmall A, B, and C series tractors used a PTO and Belt pulley combo mounted at the rear of the tractor. The PTO came straight out, and the belt pulley went off to the side, but they both ran from the same gear box etc. I am thinking about snagging one of these setups. It should not be too much work to adapt one to a Power Wagon.

Any modifications I make to my truck, I plan to make them reverseable. I dont want to modify anything that will damage the truck in anyway. I am not knocking or critizing those who sell these accessories for mega-bucks, but I simply cannot afford to use and enjoy my truck like that.
