I think the Photo classifieds are a fair assessment of the vintage Dodge truck market & for the most part are owned, maintained & for sale by readers of this forum. Ebay prices would certainly be much higher.
If you take every 46-68 flat fender Power Wagon on the classifieds including restored trucks, parts trucks...every P/W...the average price is $9716.00. If you take every M-37 listed on the classifieds, both fully restored M-37's right down to parts trucks, the average price for an M-37 on the classifieds is $5675.
Yes, there are two fully restored beautiful Power Wagons on the classifieds that bring the average up, but there are also M-37's on there that are fully restored & expensive bringing their average up as well.
All this being said, I think I only saw 1 truck with any lifting equipment installed & included. Most of these trucks would need mamoth amounts of work if a guy were to want to rely on one of these vehicles to earn his living. I think most of them wouldn't be usable as daily drivers let alone work trucks.
I often go to the GSA site, & often see beat up & poorly maintained M-37's, most with no brakes etc selling in the $2000 range...a similar condition P/W would command way more than that, & it just doesn't really matter who's driving that market, the fact is that it is being driven by public demand.
PS I just paid $10,000 for Judd's original red 49 P/W that was posted on the forum last month. I'd expect to spend several thousand dollars installing Gin poles, Winch, & general maintainance costs before this truck would ever be usable for much more than pleasure.
Although everyone seems to be anti Ebay here, Ebay is a fair assessment of value.
