Hi,

What sort of instructions do you need? From your post I can guess maybe you need to reinstall the cam/timing chain/distributor?

Cam is easy, coat journals with oil, coat lobes with lifter break-in lube, slide in. Put the cam retainer plate in, put cam gear/chain while lining up the dots on the upper and lower gears (have the engine at TDC). To reinstall the distributor once the rest of the engine is done (lifters/pushrods in), turn the engine over by hand until you are at TDC, check to see if the #1 valves are open, or if the #6 valves are open. If #1 valves are open, turn 360 degrees to TDC again and #1 valves should be shut. Now set the distributor in the motor without the intermediate shaft (oil pump drive) and point it in the direction you want (vac advance in a good spot) and pick a terminal for #1 cylinder, pull the distributor and look at the tang. Install the intermediate shaft and use a screwdriver to adjust which teeth are engaged until the slot is in the same direction as the distributor tang. You might have to turn the motor over to get the intermediate shaft to engage the oil pump. Get the motor back at TDC #1 firing (compression on #1). Install the distributor with the rotor pointing at the terminal you picked earlier. That should get you close enough to fire it, then set timing and lock it down.
I can be more detailed if you'd like. For what it is worth, I always degree the cam rather than using the dots, but the dot method works fine.

good luck,
mark
