If I only had one set of chains and in your shoes, I would chain up the front where the best traction is. You have more weight on the front end and they would work better. If I had two sets I would do all for. I have run 2-sets on my 4X4 befor in bad snow (8 inches is not bad unless Ice is involved!)befor works great. Go for it and you won't have that happen again.
