Check out the different throttle cable holder they sell, there are 4 different cables for the truck with 6 or 8 cylinder and 2 or 4 barrel carb, looks like the 225 6 cylinder is the longest cable, i swithced from a 2 barrel to a carter 4 barrel and the cable is too short, just order it and the throttle cable holder kit from them at about $100 for conversion, happy these guys are out there, been using tiewraps for extenders and letting trans shift without kickdown, My crummy dealer says the cable for 4 barrel and the kickdown is nla.
