Mark is a great person to deal with and has a good record on ebay, agreed to snap some pics for me to try to understand the track system. Can the track frames for the terra rub ber put on the old chain pontoon type cats, Mr Cooke told me this morning that rubber tires can be placed on the hub if pontoon is removed. I am a track nut as you might guess, but the thought of a giant alaska terra tire on a snow cat is very intreiging, i just want to get to my ranch and drive home without being stuck or flooded out due to high water in fan slinging in carb dist alt etc! I have 44x18.5x16.1 goodyear terra suregrip on a fenderless dodge powerwagon right now, but it is still to heavy and breaks thru mud after 2 trips to feed&fill deer feeders. I cannot wait to see some of the rollers used on the snocat, so used to 300 pound rollers on d8 cat they seem so tiny to hear yall describe them , shoe alone weighs 50 pounds(24 inch wide), in fact in think the d8 track with shoes weighs more than the biggest snowcat, will check! Alunium cab and 4 seperate drivers along with the ground clearance is what i really like, each track has what range of motion, like how far up can it go, 12 oclock position still pulling?
Not my post just a copy off his off the internet. Mark H.
