I need to get a new water pump for my 48 PW. I have a original one and was going to re/do the gaskits in it and a bolt broke off on the back plate. I could drill and remove it but was thinking since the engine is completely rebuilt I should replace the water pump also for GP. Dose Napa sell them? Any one have a part number for Napa? I also probley should replace the heat flap in the manifold it is real tight and is hard to move. Is this a important part to have work or is it just for faster warm ups in cold weather? I got the starter looking like new along with the manifolds, dist, all carb linkage, pulleys, fan blade and checked the oil pump for ware and replaced the ring seal in it. Dist is nice and tight no play in the shaft. I am going to change the PW to 12 volt and I have this Original 6 volt Coil with ribs and bracket along with the screw off primary top in nice shape to trade for something?? This is the one they want 160.00 for and it works good. Moving right along. Mark H.
