Fuel Tank - 47 WDX

I used the gas tank resto kit from the POR15 people. when I got done, I hooked up compressed air to the fuel line connection on the fron of the tank. Air bled down slowly - about the rate of a leaky quick diconnect fitting. Thoughts if I plugged the draw tube? Also, what electric fuel pump does anyone recommend for a 47? If I put the electric pump in, what do I do with the current diaphragm pump?
