The smaller machines often are live wire designs.A better choice is a dead wire torch,that has no current to the wire until you pull the trigger.This allows you to touch the wire down where you need it without striking an arc.Units without this feature often lack thermal overload protection,so watch the duty cycle.If you never excede the limit,they can last a long time.With .023 wire,you will tire before the machine does.Good luck.
