Mark, would you like to know if the truck had any history behind it? In spite of what most people tell you about titles you are helping to destroy history when you do not try to get the correct title for the truck or frame, you can apply for a lost title for the truck if you know where it was owned or worked/registered last, all states have the archives to research them, it just takes dedicated digging and money. The frame would be worth more money if you had the original title and correct paperwork instead of some made up cheat the state lost title. Some of these trucks have very interesting hisory that has been neglected by the greedy who put easy papers on them. Why don't you post the frame numbers to see if someone can id year and production delivery etc on it? If it is used in a reconstruction it will be noted on the title that a new frame with both numbers has been subbed if the person bothers to do what the state says he should. It's easy to sell without as many donot care and also like the idea of no taxes on the sale and they can run over to another state and apply for a lost title, but the trucks papers are phoney. Its your call. Could you run the title thru DMV to see what comes up? How far to the archives go back for Washington state? They go all the way in Illinois. The states don't share title info on a data base unless it is listed as stolen, someday maybe all the records will be linked to see where the critters traveled and what/who owned them and sold them.
