First, I agree they are a 'muther puncher' to get out! It's best to insert a piece of wire (very stiff, like gas welding rod) with a ben on the end and try and snag it by the inside!! Otherwise, you can use a long cold chisel and slice the thing down so it can be collapsed with a long bar! As for copper...the reason they do not use copper on auto colling systems is the problem with electrolysis and particle transfer from cast steel and copper...in addition the ethylene glycol solution (anti freeze) helps in this transfer between materials..in other words..the copper type would probably not last half as long as the steel!! (like metal)
