Actually for all intents and purposes, The positive ground is the better way! Electricity flows from negative to positive, thus on older vehicles, the higher power draw would be through the wiring system, thus the use of larger wires and tight connections. In newer vehicles, the actual current draw is through the 'ground' or frame, etc. This has enabled use of smaller conductors, but leads to other problems with quality of connections! That is why a poor connection is more troublesome in a vehicle with 'Negative' ground VS one with 'Positive' ground. It was done to save materials and weight! MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!!!
