To bid on e-bay you have to first register. To register you have to put up a credit ( I don't have one, I have an AmEx charge card)
What is a "flyby night" e-mail? I don't think Microsoft (hotmail) is flyby night whatever that is. I do think e-bay is flyby night. Why is ebay too cheap to accept AmEx? There are plenty of ways to verify ID, maybe e-bay wouldn't have flaky bidder problems if they used a more substaintial validation method. I get over 100 e-mails a day for my helpline and web site, I'll be dipped if I'm going to add another sevice to check, just to make e-bay happy.
