I wonder if those axles new surplus adlemans has are hd, how do you id the axle so i can ask them to check if it is like yours, what did you do with the port and fork, lock it in place or not use it? What year do i need to look/ask for by application/ Thanks, very interesting swap if can locate one. To heck with changing over drum to disk, there are about 6 different 44s i guess, closed nuckle, 6 or 8 lug, 5 lug 44 fulltime, 5 lug lockable, 8 lug open knuckle drum, 8 lug open disk and then the hd open 8 lug disk 44! I am dizy!Is the axle stamped on the housing H.D. anywhere, what is the id giveaway to look for? Merry Christmas!
