The location of the overdrive is an important factor.
It will only reduce rpm at the transfer case if the overdrive is after the transfer case.
If the overdrive is ahead of the transfer case, then you still have the problem of higher rpm and noise form the transfer case.
So, how does this particular overdrive hook up?
